Since inception WAYAAP has been involved in various care and support initiatives for women and youth orphaned and made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS. These includes provision of core basic services like food & nutrition, health care, education & training, psychosocial support, shelter care, legal support & protection.
All these are provided at the household level. However, WAYAAP runs a children centre (WAYAAP CHILDREN CENTRE) a home to 175 orphaned children who don’t have any known families .
We target communities devastated by HIV/AIDS and HIV-related diseases such as tuberculosis (TB) providing support to AIDS orphans and their caregivers – ranging from income-generation initiatives (IGA) to legal aid assistance.
WAYAAP’s health office focuses on developing and refining successful models to be adapted by WAYAAP programs. We continue to build the capacity of local organizations to address key health issues in their communities using effective strategic models.
We believe this is the only way that we can inspire real progress and breakthroughs in the way the world treats children. Our work is driven by our values: Accountability, Ambition and Integrity.

I was raised by WAYAAP and got educated from nursery school until I completed high school. I am enrolled in Meru Polytechnic through WAYAAP’s support and I am learning skills that will land me a job or start my own business upon completion. I remain indebted to WAYAAP for making my dream a reality. I intend to offer more assistance to others in society with such vulnerabilities.
I extend my gratitude to WAYAAP for coming through for me when I was in dire need of help from 2006 to 2013. The community helped me pay my school fees until I completed my high school and joined university where WAYAAP continued to support me and now I have a career and working full time. I intend to offer assistance to other vulnerable and needy children like me and urge society at large to contribute to this course.
WAYAAP began helping me from the year 2008 after being orphaned at a young age. I found a home and WAYAAP invested so much in my education. I am currently undertaking a course at a local polytechnic hoping to start my own business and take part in changing more lives in my community.
